Boulders Along Roanoke Streets Way Out of Line

Rocks and casey 002Dear Mayor, Members of City Council and neighborhood advocates:

Well as this picture shows, tackiness in yards now extends outside the bounds of Southeast.

These boulders are on city property and the city is allowing it, even though many neighbors on Westmont St in the Round Hill section of the city find it terribly ugly and are upset by this.

What happens when the grass starts popping up through these boulders?  Does it become a “Rock Garden” or an even greater eye sore.  If there are no standards for what a person can put on city property in front of their home, I suggest we start putting out toilets and bath tubs with flowers planted in them.  Maybe a Maytag Washer will help sprout May flowers.

To combat the city not having enforceable codes I think we need to start a movement of simply putting all our waste and junk planted into the green space in front of our homes.  Take the junk car cars and tear them up and plant the fenders, doors and seats in city property in an effort for everyone to beautify our neighborhoods until the city finds it being horrible enough to start having guidelines and codes that are enforceable.  If we can’t fight them, let’s join them.
