In celebration of Virginia Craft Beer month and to showcase the region’s growing craft beer industry, local breweries are initiating a “Hop on the Loop” Sweepstakes.
During the month of August, craft beer enthusiasts are invited to visit six participating breweries and have a card validated that will enter them to win gift certificates and merchandise. Visitors that receive validation from all 6 breweries will be eligible for a Grand Prize of $150 in gift certificates to the participating breweries.
The idea is to encourage people from our local community as well as visitors to the region to experience the unique flavors and processes of craft beer in Virginia’s Blue Ridge. For those who are able to visit 3 or more locations from August 1 – August 31, there will be prizes available to win including merchandise such as t-shirts, growlers and glasses. To be eligible you must be 21 years of age or older.
“Visitors looking for a “Beer-cation” in Virginia’s Blue Ridge can now tap into an expanding craft brewery scene. The new beer loop will offer thirsty travelers multiple ways to add local flavor to their vacation plans via tasting rooms, local entertainment and food trucks,” said Landon Howard, President of the Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The local brewers all say they are thrilled to launch this initiative to promote their businesses and look forward to announcing more year round initiatives.
Participating breweries in “Virginia’s Blue Ridge Beer Loop” are Big Lick Brewing Company, Callaway Brewing Company, Chaos Mountain Brewing, Flying Mouse Brewery, Parkway Brewing Company and Soaring Ridge Craft Brewers.
