Star City Tire and Battery Service has announced that it will open to the public on Friday, May 31 at 6802 Peters Creek Road.  The business will offer complete car care service, including tires, batteries, brake repair, front-end alignment, transmission service, shock replacement, oil changes and more.

“Star City will focus on solid customer service, with quality, name-brand parts and a highly trained staff,” said General Manager Kevin Lindsay.  “We are a neighborhood auto repair center.  We want to know our customers by name and we want them to know they can trust us,” he said.

The facility is equipped to handle up to five vehicles at a time.  The business will offer Interstate Batteries, a full selection of tires from Yokohama, Michelin, Bridgestone and others.  It will also sell after-market rims, as well as Mobile motor oil, Dayco belts, and Moog front-end parts.  “When you use lesser parts, you have to make repairs all over again in a year and that doesn’t make us or the customer happy,” said Lindsay.”

Those who come to see the new facility on May 31st will be able to see Tony Stewart’s Sprint Cup race car.  A grand opening is scheduled for June 15, which will include a car wash to benefit the Glenvar Marching Band, a fire truck for children to explore, a car seat check and children’s identification station by Roanoke County police, local radio station Q-99 and special deals for customers.

“If people are tired of taking their vehicles to larger locations where they feel like a number, we want to be their solution,” said Lindsay.
