The Knights wasted little time getting on the scoreboard in the first. After Cortney Cooper reached on a single, Kylie Kent followed with a blast over the left-center field fence for a 2-0 Cave Spring lead.

Cave Spring added three in the second on a trio of hits, passed ball and fielders choice ground-out that put the Knights ahead 5-0.

Hidden Valley had its best chance in the top of the second when the Lady Titans loaded the bases, but a two-out line drive by Maleigh Lombard that seemed destined for the outfield was snared by the Cave Spring shortstop to end the threat.

Taylor Asimakopoulos went the distance in the circle for Cave Spring, striking out six while limiting the Titans to three hits. Pami White had a pair of hits for the Knights.

Despite the early deficit, Sophia Robinette finished strong in the circle for Hidden Valley as Cave Spring could only muster one run over their final four at-bats. Sidney Agee, Kaileigh Yancey and Lombard collected the hits for the Titans.
