Obama Blames Everyone But Himself

The President’s recent news conference was amazing to behold, both by what he said and what he did not say. Mr. Obama pointed to the Republicans for most of the country’s woes. If not them, then the fault rests with Congress. They just can’t control their spending.

While there is certainly much blame that should rightly be placed on Congress for runaway spending, what the President did not say was that he signed every one of those spending bills he is criticizing.

Not once did I hear the President accept HIS part in this problem. The President told us that if we do not increase the “debt ceiling” the United States will not be able to pay our bills–Social Security and Medicare checks will not go out, military personnel will go unpaid, and hungry children will not be fed. This is a terrible scenario!

Again, what Mr. Obama neglected to tell us was that taxes will continue to be collected and people can continue to be paid. We might not be able to fund every project, but basics could be funded.

I believe co-equal branches of government deserve co-equal responsibility for our financial problems.

  1. Ok. I will certainly agree, as well as every other conservative in this country, thay President Bush spent wayyyy too much. But first of all there was a full blown war going on and second, it doesn’t mean that President Obama should follow suit and out spend every one else. He has been our President for over four years now and he is just now trying a little bit, JUSTa little, to work with congress. He shut them pretty much out his first term. Plus. He broke one of his main campaign promises. Harry Reid and every other democrat said the helthcre bill could not pass because it couldnot be understood and would cost too much. He cut back room deals (promise broken) and within three months, he slammed it down our throats. Now EVERYONE is pointing out how it is getting out of control via spending and it can not be sustained. President Obama carries the title because he is our President. He, like all lead ers, neds to accept responsibility for what is going on and for what he has and has not done. That is what a leader does. PERIOD!!!!!!

  2. Perhaps you are to simplistic, No where in this article was a reference to the large national debt which is well documented to be initially caused by Bush.
This article is stating that Obama pointed his fingers at everyone for the” run away spending”,while he signed them as well.
In other words, while he signed the checks they cashed. I hope that explanation was simple enough.
