I am concerned that we in the 9th district elect a person for Congress who will fight to support our troops while they are protecting our freedom abroad, but also once they return home. Anthony Flaccavento will do this.
In the House of Representatives, many veterans programs are under fire. However, if elected, Anthony Flaccavento will fight to provide full funding for veterans programs. Flaccavento will ensure that we support the troops we send overseas by giving them the health care, job training and education they need when they return home.
Our current representative in the ninth district, Congressman H. Morgan Griffith, does not have a track record of supporting veterans funding. In June 2011, Griffith was the only representative in the House of Representatives to vote against H.R 2055, a bill to “make appropriations for military construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies.”
Anthony Flaccavento understands that veterans programs are crucial to protecting those who protect us and as a Congressman will vote to protect veteran’s programs.
