See You At The Pole

Students from Faith Christian School in Roanoke County gather around a flagpole for prayer and reflection on Wednesday morning. The “See You at the Pole” event, which is now held annually on the fourth Wednesday in September, has grown by leaps and bounds since its beginning in 1991 when a small group of committed Christian teenagers met around a flagpole in Burleson Texas to pray for their “school, friends, leaders and country.” Within just a couple of years, students were praying in several countries around the world and now, more than 3 million students from all 50 states participate. “See You at the Pole” is a student-initiated, student organized, and student-led event and is not a demonstration, political rally, nor a stand for or against anything.
