New Head Golf Professional Takes Over at Hunting Hills

Hunting Hills Country Club has announced the selection of Tim McAfee as its new head golf professional.  McAfee, originally from Henniker, N.H., recently completed his third year as the number one assistant at Hidden Valley Country Club in Roanoke.

McAfee is a graduate of Methodist College in Fayetteville, N.C., where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in professional golf management. He previously had worked at the Alamance Country Club in Burlington,  N.C.; Stone Mountain Golf Club in Atlanta, and Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty  Hawk, N.C.

“After careful consideration, our committee decided that Tim McAfee brings the experience, drive and customer service skills that will continue to move our golf program in the right direction today and in the future,” said Keith Ghaphery, chairman of the Hunting Hils golf committee.

McAfee, who coached the golf team at Hidden Valley High School this past season, devoted more than 1,200 hours to teaching in his two years at Hidden Valley Country Club.

McAfee, a Class A member of the PGA, began his Hunting Hills tenure on  May 18. He succeeds Scott Frasier, now at Lexington Country Club.
